      Britza, the Italian coffee giant, has ruled the retail coffee shop market in Europe. Britza currently has 260 coffee shops in Italy, UK, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. The past five years' balance sheets of Britza show a constant growth in its financial status. Britza has captured 68% of the retail coffee shop market in Europe. Now, Britza wants to expand its business by opening coffee shops in various Asian countries. For this, the company is looking for partners to form a franchise. Creating a market base in Asian countries is an easy task for the management. Therefore, the management decides to organize a board meeting with the corporate, strategic, and business management groups to: 

      Identify the right locations for opening the retail shops in each country. 

     Establish the distributor network cannel for shipping raw materials and merchandise to each country. 

     Establish the marketing and advertising strategies for each country. 

      Identify the strategies, such as store layout, recruitment, and price set up, for their products. 

     To take the important business decisions, Britza needs to analyze the vast amount of data. Currently, it uses Microsoft SQL Server and Notepad to store the data related to the business transactions and related business entities. However, for the analysis purpose, Britza needs to use an information analysis tool. On the basis of the preceding case study, you need to accomplish the following tasks:

      1.Extract the strategic, operational, and statistical information. 

     2.  Name the various sources from which Britza needs to collect data.

     3.  Identify if there is a need to refine the data collected from these sources. If yes, justify with a reason.

     4. Name at least two types of reports that Britza needs to create. Explain any one report type in detail. 

     5.The management needs to use an inexpensive automated tool for making the business decisions through information analysis. Name the tool that should be used.

The club is managed by well-qualified instructors and coaches. All these factors have helped the club to increase the number of registered members. The Customer Relations (CR) department of the club serves as a liaison between the club and its members. The main responsibilities of this department are to provide the details of the various features of the club to the existing and prospective members, perform the registration process for the new members, and monitor the members' feedback on the facilities and services of the club. Currently, the club maintains the data related to the club, such as the details of the staff members, club members, and plans offered to the club members, in text files and databases. The club decides to expand its business in the US. For this, it decides to open various clubs in different cities in the US. Therefore, the owner of the club conducts a meeting with the management to:

Opportunity Pipelines: These reports are created to manage business opportunities. The sales managers need to monitor the market activities to compare the actual sales with the target sales. For this, they can divide the sales cycle into different phases. This enables the managers to track the completion percentage of the different deliverables in the sales cycles.

SAP: It is a tool that is broadly used for information analysis and resource planning. By using SAP, u can integrate data at a centralized location. This data can be further processed and analyzed to obtain valuable reports. As an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool, SAP provides the solutions to resource management processes by keeping track of each resource utilized in an organization.

Tally: It is an ERP tool that has extensive accounting and inventory capabilities. It allows the organization to record and manage financial and inventory transactions by using the accounts and stock registers. Inventory management enables the organization to deal with inventory manufacturers, wholesalers or distributors and traders. Tally has the capability to maintain reports in any language as the users want and to send these reports to the clients, suppliers and business associates in the language they understand.

Microsoft Excel: It is a data analysis tool, which is bundled with the Microsoft Office suite. It is widely used for processing, analyzing and retrieving data efficiently. This tool has the capability to import data from various sources, filters and transform it in information, and create graphical or tabular reports. Later, you can use these reports to perform any valuable analysis.
